Please someone don't let me buy muesli again...
Seriously!
Note to self, plan your food more so you don't get hungry and eat THREE bowls of muesli. I'm so disappointed in myself and feeling a little ill with all those oats in my belly.
Stupid.
Stupid.
Stupid.
Do you know when they want to fatten pigs, they feed them up on wheat.
Do any of my readers have kids? What do you think of them eating low-carb (basically just cutting wheat and sugar)? So lots of meat, dairy, veg, fruit, nuts etc.....
Love your thoughts

Make my oat/wheat free cereal. It is on my recipe page of my blog. Seriously, just a couple of dessertspoons with yoghurt and you are good to go!! Add anything you fancy and it really is like muesli.
ReplyDeleteOh... sorry kids? Well I have grandkids and have not problem with them eating bread etc but in moderation!! It is the baking and sweets and rubbish that I think ruins them. Limit it even more if you like but I think for kids it is the processed rubbish that is bad for them, not the odd sandwich. I do agree with cutting their sugar.
ReplyDeleteMy kids love whole rye, so that might be an option for you. Maybe there's a scandinavian store or health-food store that carries some near you?
ReplyDeleteI have 4 kids and they have started pretty much whatever we eat. In fact, my oldest son (15 yrs old) loves it and says all the time how good (he loves the steaks and the stir fry)we eat. Why not start them on healthier eating habits now before they are hard habits to break?
